2008 Voice Teacher Program on the campus of California State University, Northridge

Extraordinary artistic, pedagogical and personal transformations occur every year during OperaWorks' Voice Teacher Workshops. Even more remarkable are the changes teachers report when they return to their studios: their students' excitement about learning, their accelerated growth, and a new-found joy in their own teaching. They are changing the paradigm of vocal training throughout the country!
"[It was] my chance to truly rejuvenate and reconnect the personal love and joy that had been buried in the realities and responsibilities that come with an academic position. It's been many years since I spent so much sustained time in my 'right brain'... And I Loved It!" Laurel Goetzinger (2007) - Director of the Boze Lyric Theatre, Anderson University; Associate Professor of Voice

CLASSES
In the supportive environment of OperaWorks you can experiment with ideas you have always wanted to try; brainstorm with other teachers; learn to be centered and grounded in your daily life; and rejuvenate yourself -- all of which will directly affect your teaching. In classes, you can choose to perform or not, receive specific feedback from the faculty, and learn dynamic ways to teach at your optimum creative level.
"...what [Ann offers] singers tends to fix major technical problems without addressing technique...as if their bodies intuitively knew how to sing well..." Craig Johnson (2001) - Associate Professor of Voice, Point Loma University
